6.12 External Battery (J6)

Connector J6 is used to connect an optional external battery to replace the on-board backup battery. The onboard battery provides about 7 years of lifetime at an ambient temperature of 25oC. For longer lifetime an external battery of 3.3V 10% may be connected to this connector.
